The U.S. Food and Drug Administration proposed revisions to four proposed rules designed to help prevent food-borne illnesses. Almond Board Director of Quality Assurance and Industry Services Tim Birmingham said they were pleased with the initial revisions to the produce safety rule.
Birmingham said the comment and revision process is ongoing.
