The World’s Largest Agricultural Show Returns

Marketing Director for the World Ag Expo
Preparations are well underway for the World Ag Expo, the largest agricultural exposition in the world, returning to the International Agri-Center in Tulare, California, February 10–12, 2026. During a recent Ag Meter interview, Megan Lausten, Marketing Director for the World Ag Expo, shared insight into what makes the event a global destination for agriculture professionals, innovators, and the general public alike.
Each year, the World Ag Expo brings together the latest technology, education, and equipment shaping modern agriculture—all in the heart of California’s Central Valley.
A Massive Event Powered by a Dedicated Team
Producing the World Ag Expo is a year-round effort. Lausten explained that a full-time team of approximately 25 staff members works continuously to plan and execute the event. Planning for the following year begins even before the current show opens, with exhibitor renewals starting during the show itself.
In addition to staff, the Expo relies on more than 1,000 volunteers, many of whom have supported the event for decades. Easily recognized by their bright orange jackets, volunteers play a vital role in making the show possible and helping visitors navigate the massive grounds.
Attendance, Reach, and International Impact
The World Ag Expo consistently attracts around 100,000 attendees, with expectations remaining strong for 2026. More than 80 countries are represented through exhibitors and attendees, reinforcing the event’s reputation as a truly international agricultural showcase.
Despite its global recognition, the Expo remains deeply rooted in Tulare, offering a point of pride for the Central Valley and demonstrating the region’s importance to agriculture worldwide.
Innovation on Display: From Automation to AI
One of the signature features of the World Ag Expo is its focus on innovation. Attendees can expect to see the latest advancements in agriculture, including automation, drones, driverless tractors, AI-powered systems, and precision equipment.
The Top 10 New Products Competition offers a clear snapshot of where agriculture is headed. From simple problem-solving tools to advanced artificial intelligence applications, the competition highlights emerging technologies shaping the future of farming. While the Top 10 provides a strong overview, innovation extends across the entire show floor.
Exhibitors Big and Small
The Expo hosts approximately 1,200 exhibitors, ranging from small family-owned businesses to global manufacturers such as John Deere, AGCO, and New Holland. Some exhibitors have participated every year since the show’s inception, and 2026 marks the 59th year of the World Ag Expo.
With 2.6 million square feet of exhibit space, planning ahead is essential. Even with three full days, many attendees find it impossible to see everything.
Navigating the Show: Rain or Shine
The World Ag Expo is held rain or shine, with February weather ranging from sunshine to heavy rain. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable footwear and dress accordingly. Trams are available to help move around the grounds, and the annual World Ag Expo mobile app, launching in January, serves as an essential planning tool.
The app allows visitors to:
- View exhibitor lists
- Create personalized schedules
- Navigate interactive maps
- Check food menus
Farm Show Food That Supports the Community
Food is a major highlight of the World Ag Expo, with favorites like tri-tip and steak sandwiches, ice cream, and other classic farm show offerings. What sets the Expo apart is that all food booths are operated by local nonprofit organizations, meaning every purchase supports community groups while fueling a day at the show.
Education and the Next Generation of Agriculture
Education is central to the mission of the International Agri-Center, which focuses on connecting people through agriculture. Through its AgVentures! Learning Center, antique museum, and school tours, the Agri-Center educates students year-round.
During the Expo, youth organizations, FFA members, and students are a common sight, gaining hands-on exposure to agriculture, technology, and career pathways in the industry.
