Drilling companies remained busy around the state through Thanksgiving. Tulare County row crop grower Jerry Silva was getting some drilling done close to the holiday. The drilling company said they hit water a little over 100 feet deep, but Silva says that won’t last. He says he was in contact with several drilling companies, but had some difficulties due to the businesses still being very busy. Experts are now saying that the El Nino forecast is looking like a dry one, and Silva says the deeper drilling is a necessity to actually have a next season.
