The Fresno County Blossom Trail is officially open for its 25th year. The blossom trail is a celebration of Central California agriculture and the main event is an unguided tour through the beautiful blooms of fruit and nut orchards. Fresno County Supervisor Judy Case MC’d the official opening ceremony.
These photos of almond blossoms taken last year show a little bit of what blossom trail visitors can expect. Fresno County Tourism Manager, Kristi Johnson also spoke at the ceremony, and discussed how the Blossom Trail highlights California’s agriculture.
We’re still pretty early in the season, so there aren’t flowers on the trees yet. Growers say in just a couple of weeks, the trail will be popping with color.
