Tulare County Farm Bureau to Host Tree Nut Harvest Safety Seminar, July 22

Tulare County Farm Bureau, in partnership with Kings County Farm Bureau and the State Compensation Insurance fund, will host a nut harvest safety seminar training on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at the Kings Fairgrounds in Hanford.

The inaugural training will be geared toward nut commodity harvest equipment operators, crews, farm employees and farm managers/ supervisors/ growers. In training and discussion harvest equipment for walnuts, almonds and pistachios will be included.

Training will be provided in English and Spanish. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. Staff of the Family Healthcare Network will be on site from 7:30 a.m.-8:30 a.m. to provide free health screening for participants. Training will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 1:30 p.m. with a provided lunch. At the completion of the safety training, participants will receive a certificate.
