Yesterday, Crop Vitality, a business unit of Tessenderlo Kerley, Inc. (TKI), the North American subsidiary of Brussels-based Tessenderlo Group and the Kings County Economic Development Corporation celebrated the completion of its newest liquid plant nutrient manufacturing facility in Hanford with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
This facility creates 23 new jobs and is open to load and ship products to customers 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
An environmentally safe liquid plant nutrient known as KTS® (potassium thiosulfate) is produced at the facility. KTS is a nutrient source of potassium and sulfur for a variety of crops. KTS, along with the family of Crop Vitality products, provides growers the ability to apply nutrients more precisely and falls directly in line with the internationally accepted and industry standard 4R Nutrient Stewardship Program.
The Hanford location serves as both a manufacturing and distribution hub for other Crop Vitality plant nutrients and supports Crop Vitality’s position as the world’s largest producer of sulfur-based liquid nutrients.
