Organic Production up in Santa Cruz Co.
Santa Cruz County has released its latest crop report, and it shows that organic production is on the rise in the county. For 2013, there were more than 100 organic growers in Santa Cruz County, with the top organic crop being strawberries. In fact, strawberries are the county’s number one crop over all – in organic and conventional growing – with a total value for strawberries of more than 201 million dollars.
