Asian citrus psyllid area-wide treatments are only effective with high grower participation.

Participation Critical for Psyllid Treatments

ACP area wide treatment meetings are going on around the state. The point of these meetings are to introduce growers to area liasons and group growers so they know when they need to treat. Liason Coordinator Bob Atkins says area wide treatments are only productive if all of the growers in the designated area are part of the process.
Atkins says the insect wont leave your orchard for another area that isn’t being treated but a few untreated areas could nullify all the positive effects from other treatments.
