Nominations are being accepted for the 2020 Agriculturalist of the Year award, which celebrates individuals who have substantially contributed to California’s agricultural success. The California State Fair first began presenting the award in 1980, with recent recipients including Secretary Karen Ross, Paul Wenger, and Tom Nassif.
The award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and represented the ag industry over a number of years in areas such finance, government, production agriculture, research, and more. The nomination form can be found on the California State Fair website and will need to be submitted by Friday, January 17. The winner of the 2020 Agriculturalist of the Year award will be recognized at the Friends of the California State Fair Gala on June 25.
