Kern County Farm Bureau is happy to announce their Young Farmers and Ranchers (“YF&R”) Farmer’s Market scheduled for Saturday, J
uly 11. YF&R, a group compiled of around thirty young adults, have spent the year growing their own vegetable gardens to make this Farmer’s Market an extension of their philosophy of giving back to the community.
YF&R has partnered with the local Kern County Boys and Girls Club to raise funds for their onside garden which will give local youth a hands-on lesson about the food cycle and agriculture. Local Kern County farmers have also donated produce to the help with the cause. All the produce will be exchanged for a donation of your choice to the Kern County Boys and Girls Club. Agriculture is so important to our lives here in the Central Valley and YF&R hopes to bring awareness to the efficiencies of our local farmers regarding our resources.
Please join us in spreading the word and raising funds for the Kern County Boys and Girls Club.
