At this year’s World Ag Expo, John Deere highlighted new equipment designed to make life easier for California farmers—especially those managing smaller properties or needing versatile support equipment.

Mark Davey, Marketing Manager for John Deere’s compact tractor line, introduced the company’s new 1-Series tractor, a 25-horsepower machine built for comfort, flexibility, and efficiency.

The updated model features a heated and air-conditioned cab, offering operators protection from California’s wide-ranging weather conditions—from dusty summer days to cold winter mornings. The cab also includes comfort-focused features such as cruise control, tilt steering, and a phone charging port, creating a more user-friendly experience for long workdays.

While compact in size, the tractor is designed to handle a variety of tasks. Davey noted it’s ideal for tight conditions such as barn corners, mowing, and general property maintenance. To increase efficiency, the machine includes multiple quick-attach options, including a quick hitch, quick-connect mower deck, and quick-park loader. These features allow operators to switch implements quickly, saving time and reducing labor demands.

Ease of operation was also a focus in the design. The tractor features a simple twin-touch pedal system—one pedal for forward and one for reverse—making it easy for new operators to learn and use. With ongoing labor challenges in California agriculture, user-friendly equipment can help operations stay productive.

Davey encouraged growers to visit their local John Deere dealer to learn more about the new 1-Series tractors and determine the best fit for their operation. Dealers are equipped to walk customers through available models and attachment options.
