Farm Bill and Noninsured Crop Disaster Assistance Program Workshops

Taylor Hillman Education, Environment

University of California Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources (UCANR) and USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) have partnered to offer free informational workshops regarding the Noninsured Crop Disaster Assistance Program (NAP).

The purpose of the workshops is to discuss producer options with respect to financial assistance to producers of noninsurable crops to protect against natural disasters that result in lower yields or crop losses, or prevent crop planting as authorized by the 2014 Farm Bill.

These workshops will assist producers in understanding available options and will provide an overview of the use of a web-based decision tool to determine NAP crop eligibility and estimate NAP fees, premiums, and payments.
