Farm Bill and ARC/PLC Decision Aid Tool Workshops

Taylor HillmanGeneral

University of California Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR) and USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) have partnered to offer free informational workshops at three locations. The purpose of the workshops is to discuss producer options with respect to Agricultural Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) elections for covered commodities authorized by the 2014 Farm Bill.

These workshops will assist producers in understanding available options and will provide an overview of the use of web-based decision tools in the ARC/PLC election process. The online tools for producers use broad assumptions related to commodity estimates for a multi-year period and provide farmers an opportunity to enter variables such as crops, acres, yields, and prices as part of their consideration.

Please take a moment to complete a brief online survey so that we can ensure adequate space for all participants. Feel free to contact anrprogramsupport@ucanr.edu if you have any questions.
