Cathy Isom lets us know how we can turn a little bit of coffee, cinnamon, and sugar into something our body will love. That’s coming up on This Land of Ours.

DIY Body Scrub

With 4 ingredients you probably already have in your cabinets, and may use in your coffee, you can make a “do it yourself” Cinnamon Coffee body scrub that is just as good if not better than a pricey scrub at any beauty supply store.

Not only that, it smells delicious, makes your skin feel smoother and it makes great gifts.

Here’s what you’ll need: a quarter cup of coconut oil, a quarter cup of sugar, a quarter cup of coffee ground (either used or fresh, they work the same) and one tablespoon of cinnamon.

If you’re planning to give as gifts, you’ll need mason jars.

To use, apply a generous amount of the scrub on wet skin in the tub or shower and massage in circles then rinse with warm water.

Some say the coffee is good for reducing the appearance of cellulite and tightening the skin. The cinnamon is also said to be a good energy booster. The sugar acts as a good skin exfoliate. And the coconut oil moisturizing. Your homemade cinnamon coffee scrub should last about 6 months. If the contents begin to separate, just give it a good stir.
