A call for history and tradition is wrapping up this week for California farmers. The Kern County Farm Bureau is celebrating its 100 year anniversary this year and is asking all farmers and ranchers who started in Kern , or still calls Kern County home, to send them their pictures and stories.
Kern County Farm Bureau Executive Director Beatris Sanders says time if running out however. The deadline to submit your Kern County history is August 1. Sanders said some of the pictures and stories that have come in are amazing representations of Kern County’s history. The Farm Bureau plans on picking a family or two to represent their history and are going to have a special event at the Bounty of Kern County annual meeting on October 18 at the Kern County fairgrounds.
