California milk producers had a total of 1.77 million milk cows for October that produced 3.30 billion pounds of milk. Milk production is up 4 percent from September, 2016 and up 2 percent from October 2015. Monthly milk per cow averaged 1,870 pounds, up 75 pounds from September 2016.
