Bob McInturf died late last week of natural causes. McInturf was a raisin and wine grape grower and a founding member of the Allied Grape Growers. In fact, he served as its first president – a position he held for 36 years. He was also involved with Sun Maid Raisin Growers and served on its Board of Directors. Over the years, McInturf was appointed to many state and national agricultural positions. He sat on the board of the Ag Council of California for many years, and as served its president.
In addition to all of his agriculture work, McInturf enjoyed Danish dancing with his wife of 68 years, Rosalie.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11 am Saturday, May 11, at Lisle Funeral Home in Fresno.
McInturf was 93.
