Fresno State to Host Brazilian Delegation Tour, Attend Ag Workshop

The Lyles Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Fresno State will host an agricultural technology delegation from Brazil beginning at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, as part of the Lyles Global Innovation Academy.

The group will attend the International Agricultural Technology Workshop and tour Fresno State’s Water, Energy and Technology Center and the Center for Irrigation Technology hydraulics lab.

Local agricultural technology companies will present to the group of academic and business representatives, and Fresno State faculty and staff will introduce research projects and innovations in irrigation and water management.

The Lyles Global Innovation Academy specializes in workshops, training and professional development opportunities centered on innovation and entrepreneurship for international constituents.

“We are pleased to host the ag technology cohort as part of our Lyles Global Innovation Academy,” said Dr. Timothy Stearns, executive director of the Lyles Center. “This kind of opportunity directly links to our core values of education, collaboration, networking and training.
