Everett Griner talks about agriculture losses due to bad weather in today’s Agri View.
Weather Problems
You know weather is something that farmers have to deal with every year. This year is no different. Droughts are common. Seems one region is hit by floods every year. It does seem that tornadoes are a little more common in the upper mid-west this year. What I am getting at is, although it doesn’t get the headlines, farmers are victim of bad weather more than most people realize. Look at Louisiana and Mississippi right now. You saw houses and cars washed away. And, the death toll was kept in the news. But, how many times did you hear anything about how many crops were lost? Or how much livestock? Tragedy is bad anywhere anytime. Flood, tornado or drought. And they all affect agriculture as much as they do anything or anybody else. No matter where they occur.
That’s Agri View for today, I’m Everett Griner.
