Dan Agri View, Citrus, General

Satsuma oranges
It looks like the Satsuma Orange is making a comeback. The small tasty orange was never a part of the citrus industry. It was grown mostly in North Florida and South Alabama. It also had a ready market. About 1935 a devastating freeze killed most of the trees and the crop just vanished. Everett Griner talks about this quaint orange making a comeback in today’s Agri View.
