Everett Griner talks about the bee and pollinator problem now worldwide in today’s Agri View.

For a decade or longer beekeepers throughout the U.S. have been impacted by that mysterious disease that destroys whole hives of Honeybees. Hope for a solution is still strong but it still lingers. Until recently I was unaware that the problem has gone worldwide. Now the United Nations is telling us that the entire world is losing its bees and other pollinators. U.N. spokesman are saying that there are 20,000 species of crop pollinators and none of them are safe from the bee problem. There estimate is that 16 to 40 percent of those pollinators are in danger. The U.S. alone has lost as many as 10 million hives. And the U.N. gives two reasons for the problem. Both created by us, the people. Chemicals and destruction of habitat. So what is the solution? Stop what is causing the problem. No need to keep spending billions when we know what is causing the problem.

That’s Agri View for today. I’m Everett Griner.
