County farm bureaus around the state are getting the word out to farmers and ranchers about how the redefinition of the Clean Water Act will affect work. AgNet West’s Taylor Hillman explains how this might affect you.

Clean Water Act Redefined

Monterey County Farm Bureau Executive Director Norm Groot says the majority of his members are still digesting what the Clean Water Act clarification means to them. Groot says they understand what the clarification is trying to do but does not think the EPA realizes the full impact. Groot is asking all agriculture land owners to speak up now before the public comment period ends in October. Contact your local Farm Bureau if you would like to join in expressing how this change will affect your operation.
