Government Shutdown Puts Pause on Opening New Markets

Many distinguished guests made their way to the American Farm Bureau Federation’s 100th Annual Convention. Guests included state representatives, USDA officials,  Agriculture Secretary Sonny Purdue, President Donald Trump.  Many of them covered topics pertaining to the Farm Bill, the history of the American Farm Bureau and other issues and top priorities.  After making an address, Senate Agriculture Committee Chair Pat Roberts talked about ways the government shutdown has impacted trade efforts.
