The Northern California walnut harvest could use another short rain event.
Short Storms Needed for Nut Harvest
University of California Cooperative Extension Orchard Advisor Richard Buchner says walnut harvest is moving right along, however, another storm would help out greatly. Only one short rain event has passed through California in the last month and Buchner says short, sporadic storms are best.
