Considerations for New Orchards

A recent post to The Almond Doctor blog addressed some considerations growers should have if wet weather is in-store from El Nino predictions. UC Pomology Tree Crop Advisor David Doll wrote the entry and says several things need to be taken into account with both established orchards and new orchards. The guidelines for established orchards revolve around worker and orchard safety but Doll says there are a few unique challenges to planting new orchards with projected wet weather.
