The federal marketing order in the raisin industry was enacted over 60 years ago and can call for growers to set aside a portion of their crop. When that reserve is sold, it funds a successful marketing campaign. Gary Schulz, President of the California Raisin Marketing Board and the Raisin Administrative Committee, says the order has paid dividends to everyone in the industry.
