The two recent huanglongbing (HLB) detections in Los Angeles County are just 15 miles away from the first HLB detection in 2012.

HLB Finds two years apart

It might be just a coincidence that only 15 miles separate the 2012 HLB case and the 2 recent detections. California Citrus Mutual Director of Public Affairs Alyssa Houtby says there is always the possibility of more trees having the disease in the area and management programs need to stay vigilant.
