Organic Foods Set to Continue Growing

Taylor Hillman This Land of Ours

organic productsAround the globe, organic farming is practiced in 162 countries. North America leads the charge in sales and has the highest projected growth rate. In a new report by Zion Market Research, the global organic food and beverage market was estimated to be worth around $125 billion last year, and is expected to nearly triple in size by 2024, climbing to more than $320 billion.

The reason for the explosive growth is largely due to the development of health-conscious customers. Organic products are in very high demand for those concerned about obesity, diabetes, and digestive orders. North America isn’t the only region pumping out organic products. Germany is currently at the top of the organic food movement in Europe. It currently accounts for one-third of the organic market in all of Europe.
