Updates on red blotch disease in grape vines are slowly coming, mostly because the disease is still new. There is, however, some good news regarding nursery stock.
Good News on Red Blotch Disease
Researchers are still looking at findings from red blotch disease trials to come up with recommendations for the grape industry. The disease was discovered in 2012 and those findings take time to develop, as well as the severity of damage the disease can cause. UC Davis Cooperative Extension Specialist Debra Galino says the disease became a big problem with nursery stock; however those nurseries may be turning the corner.
