The week opens with “Coffee and Cake with the Dean” from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Monday in the Agricultural Sciences Building. Students will have a chance to network with department faculty over breakfast.

On Tuesday and Thursday, food, bathroom and personal hygiene items will be collected in the Free Speech Area to be donated to the Fresno State Student Cupboard.

On Wednesday, the Jordan College Carnival will be held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Free Speech Area to celebrate National Agriculture Day. Fresno State ice cream will be served, and campus clubs and organizations will educate students about the many ways agriculture touches our lives daily.

On Friday, the Jordan College Olympics will be held from 2-3:30 p.m. on the Agricultural Sciences Building lawn. Fresno State student agricultural organizations and clubs will compete for prizes in a cow-pie toss, hay-bale stacking and relay race.

Also Friday, the Enology Society of Fresno will host its annual Bud Break Bash from 6-10 p.m. at the Toca Madera Winery. The society’s major annual fundraiser is open to adults 21 years or older and is an opportunity to connect with friends and supporters and promote the education of wine throughout the year.

Music, beer, wine and a silent auction are scheduled. Tickets are available at www.squareup.com/market/enologysocietybudbreakbash.

Weeklong promotions at the Rue and Gwen Gibson Farm Market at Fresno State include Taste Test Tuesday, Waffle Cone Wednesday and discounts on chickens for Thursday’s National Poultry Day.
