Tips for Flushing Drip Lines

A recent workshop at the Center for Irrigation Technology showed growers some common mistakes they’re making when servicing drip lines. Education Manager Bill Green says it’s crucial to watch for two things when flushing those lines. Green says there is a chart available online that shows how far the water should be flowing based on how high off the ground it is being held. Green says it’s always beneficial to catch the water you are flushing to monitor for sand content and see when the line is truly running clear.
