The Senate Judiciary Committee approved its version of an immigration bill, but there is still a long road ahead. The House Speaker, John Boehner (R-Ohio), has had some discouraging comments on the bill. Sabrina Hill has more on the status of the immigration bill and what to expect from this point.

As California growers worry about having enough labor to harvest their crops, House speaker John Boehner has made it clear the House won’t pass the Senate’s immigration bill. The senate bill passed out of the Senate Judiciary Committee last week, but Boehner says the House plans on taking a different approach.
Manuel Cuhna with the Neisie Farmer’s League says while getting the Senate bill passed by the Judiciary Committee was a big accomplishment, there’s still quite a bit of time before the House even gets the Senate bill for a vote.
