California fig grower Robert Steinacher and his daughter, Deena, were among the exhibitors at the 2015 PMA Fresh Summit. AgNet West’s Sabrina Hill met up with him at the convention and talked about California agriculture issues ranging from the drought to the dire need for adequate labor in agriculture.

Robert Steinacher and his wife, Karen, own Maywood Farms in Northern California. Robert is a vocal supporter of updated labor laws for agriculture, and says California agriculture is in need of workers. He also talks about how the drought is affecting his farm.
