Phone scam targets farmers

Someone is targeting farmers in a new phone scam. They are calling farmers, identifying themselves as being with the Farm Service Agency, and saying the farmer is owed disaster funds. They then ask for the farmer’s bank information or credit card number. This is a scam. The Farm Service Agency does not call producers and ask for banking information.

If you get this call, do not give the caller any information. Simply hang up.

If you receive or have already received this call, the Farm Service Agency would like you to notify them by calling your local office.
