Crops reports don’t calculate profit margins for the industry and if you look closely you can already see drought affects in the 2014 reports.

Drought Affects in Crop Reports

The Central Valley crop reports showed significant increases in total production value but that doesn’t tell the entire story. California Citrus Mutual Director of Public Affairs Alyssa Houtby says there are numbers in the Tulare county report that raises some concerns. She says those numbers are likely due in big part to the drought.
