Christmas tree growers and retailers are optimistic about sales of real trees this year after a big turnaround last season. Sabrina Hill has more.

Back in 2010, Americans bought 27 million farm raised trees. In 2011, that went up to 30.8 million, taking sales up to over a billion dollars. Experts say it appears more families under the age of 35 are wanting to buy real trees, and there’s a larger variety of farmed Christmas trees to meet the needs of consumers. A larger variety of sizes and shapes give people new options in buying real trees.
