It’s official; there will be a new face of California Citrus Mutual in February. Casey Creamer will become President and CEO of California Citrus Mutual (CCM) February 1, as Joel Nelson steps down after 37 years in the position. The move is not unexpected as Creamer was brought on as Vice President last year with the intention to eventually succeed Nelsen.
CCM Board Chairman Curt Holmes said in a release, “The citrus industry is very fortunate to have had an individual of Joel’s caliber the last 37 years. That kind of loyalty is not only rare, but it’s unheard of…Joel has taken a relatively small industry and has given us a huge voice.”
Creamer was the former senior executive for the Kings River Water Quality Coalition and California Cotton Ginners & Growers Vice President.
