We’ve been following a court case between 42-year-old Dwayne Johnson, a groundskeeper in California and Bayer Monsanto. Johnson recently won a case alleging the company’s weedkiller Round-Up caused his cancer. Johnson agreed to take a $78 million award, doing so against his lawyer’s advice. The damages award set by a jury was originally $289 million but later reduced by the California judge. This award in no way represents a settlement between Bayer Monsanto and Johnson as the company will continue to fight the case in the California Court of Appeal.
