Almond Update: Objective Measurement Report Forecasts 2.2 Billion Pounds

The 2019 California Almond Objective Measurement Report was released by the National Agricultural Statistics Service this week, and the forecast is down 12 percent from the subjective forecast in May.  The report highlights the unusual weather in April and May as having a notable impact on the almond forecast.  Chairman of the Almond Board of California, Holly King said that the decline was not entirely unexpected.
