In 2009 the Almond Board of California created a sustainability program full of information and education for everyone in the industry with the emphasis on water consumption. AgNet West’s Taylor Hillman reports.
Associate Director of Agricultural affairs Bob Curtis said that their numbers come from over 300,000 acres of assessed crops. A number they feel represents the industry well and they are continuing to grow. Curtis Said that growers are sometimes surprised when they get involved in the program.
