Almond Board: Achievement Award Nominations Due

Taylor Hillman Almond Update

Achievement Award
The Almond Board of California is accepting nominations for the Almond Achievement Award but time is running out. The deadline is just around the corner.

The clock is ticking to get your nominations in for the Almond Achievement Award. Bob Mahoney, who works with Cooperative Extension in Tehama County, tells us more about the Almond Achievement Award and what qualities the almond board is looking for. “The Almond Achievement Award is meant to honor a person in our California almond industry who has a longstanding, direct involvement with the industry,” Mahoney said. “They’ve contributed something that has had a long lasting affect and impact on the industry as a whole. There is a record of proven service where they’ve provided growth to the industry and have been a visible member through advocacy for the industry.”

Mahoney said it’s easy to nominate someone for the award. You can go online to almonds.com or email the Almond Board of California’s Jenny Nicolau.

Nominations are due by October 19. The award recipient is announced at the gala dinner during the almond conference this December.
