Be sure to get your registrations in for WAPA’s 3rd Annual Meeting, as it is setting up to be our most informative meeting yet. The 3rd Annual Meeting will take place on Thursday and Friday, June 28th and 29th at the Monterey Marriott Hotel in beautiful downtown Monterey!

On Thursday, June 28th WAPA will host its first ever Golf Outing at the gorgeous Poppy Hills golf course in Pebble Beach. Concurrently, WAPA will host a special presentation of AIB International’s Food Plant Integrated Pest Management (IPM) focused on the tree nut processing industry. This training will be held from 8 am to 5 pm in the Monterey Marriott Hotel. Attend the IPM class and WAPA’s 3rd Annual Meeting and receive $50 off the IPM Class Registration! This seminar qualifies for 8 hours of Continuing Education Units with the California Department of Pesticide Regulation.

On Friday, June 29th the 3rd Annual Meeting will begin promptly at 8:30 am with registration beginning at 8:00 am. Speakers will in-clude Jenny Scott from FDA’s Office of Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, Ed Hosoda from Cardinal Products, Dave Warner with the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District, and the luncheon speaker will be Karen Halliburton Barber, Asst. Vice President of Rabobank’s Food & Agribusiness Research and Advisory Group. Ms. Barber will give the “Economic Outlook for the California Tree Nut Industry”.
