Cathy Isom tells us about an up and coming trend in gardening for anyone limited on space. That’s coming up on This Land of Ours.
Vertical Gardening
Growing your own food at home, even if living in the smallest of living quarters such an apartment or a condo, can still be achieved. All you need are walls, rails, stairs, posts or fencing.
You can also do it for next to nothing. All it takes is a little bit of planning. From choosing a nutrient-rich potting mix preferably made from organic compost. And seeds purchased from local farmer’s markets or local seed banks. For grow pots, you can use things such as old furniture, recycle bins and garbage cans, old tin cans or plastic containers.
