State Drought Task Force Kicks Off Meetings

UCCE Kern County Farm Advisor Joe Nunez say this yearly event allows breeders to come see how their seeds grow in Kern County. California does not have a designated breeder so they rely on outside breeders to supply seed. The event pulls companies, breeders and growers alike from all over North America to see results and to get ideas, like Idaho potato farmer Reed Searle.
