Figs have two seasons in California, and is currently in the second. Production is underway and will continue through December. It’s expected the strong results from this year will lead to an increase in fig acreage in coming years. Fig planting had been on a decline in previous years, but the crop is coming back. Most of California’s figs are grown in the San Joaquin Valley, Northern California, and the Coachella Valley.
