We all know by know that bee colonies are quickly disappearing. So it’s important to remember our favorite pollinating friends when planning and planting things that will keep them coming around and coming back for more.
Bees have excellent color perception, so don’t be afraid to mix up your blooming color palate! Bees love herbs and they also love veggies, such as cucumbers, onions and chives. Melons, too. Nearly every fruit tree will attract bees when flowering. But some types, like Royal Gala Apple and Cherry trees, produce an abundance of bee friendly blooms.
