The year 2018 brought both challenges and achievements to the agriculture industry across the nation and right here in California. USDA’s Agriculture Secretary Sonny Purdue highlighted some of the accomplishments of the year including the passage of the 2018 Farm bill, hurricane and forestry response, trade deals and potential resolutions, trade assistance programs, eradication of pink Bollworm and other invasive pest, improvements to school lunch programs, support to veterans and other USDA agency service developments.
