There are some things most farmers just don’t want growing on their land and marijuana is one of them. But what do you do if someone else is growing it on your property? It could be a much more involved process than some think. And that’s why the Fresno County Farm Bureau is addressing the topic at a forum this week.

The forum agenda includes several presentations including: marijuana grows on Central Valley agricultural lands; ramifications of marijuana grows on private land; how to draft a lease to evict an illicit grower from private land; and a testimonial from a Fresno County farmer.

Growers can also take part in a question and answer period afterward. Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims will be on hand to talk to growers.

The forum is scheduled from 9 to 11 am, this Friday, June 28, at the Fresno County Farm Bureau office located at 1274 W. Hedges Ave., Fresno, CA, 93728. You can call the farm bureau for more information at 559-237-0263.
