ACTIVATE20

ACTIVATE20, the AgSafe Annual Conference is coming up March 10-12 in Modesto.  The event will highlight some of the major concerns that agricultural operations are navigating, with presentations touching on regulation, safety, health, and business practices.

“It’s a great opportunity to get some of the snapshot information that helps us make better decisions within our businesses but also evaluate how we can stay ahead of the curveball when it comes to those regulatory pressures that we face,” said AgSafe President and CEO Amy Wolfe. “We can’t wait for folks to come and hear regulatory leaders as well as industry experts on the most impactful issues affecting our workforce today.”

ACTIVATE20 will offer more than 50 sessions in both English and Spanish and for the first time ever, the event will be hosted in AgSafe’s hometown of Modesto. The conference is specifically designed for both employers as well as employees, with different speakers providing presentations to address the different audiences who will be in attendance.

A health fair will also be hosted over the course of the conference in coordination with Golden Valley Health Centers.  There will be 19 different stations within the fair that will address issues of health, wellness and wellbeing. The community health fair will be open to the public and will not require registration for the conference. “We encourage growers to bring their farmworkers and we want farmworker families to come because we have an incredibly diverse cross-section of men’s health issues, women’s health issues, health issues affecting our youth, as well as occupational health issues,” Wolfe noted.

Registration for the event will remain open, with onsite registration also available.  Pricing and registration information are accessible through the event website. “The website has a whole host of details: the session descriptions, speakers and their biographies, information about our exceptional keynote speaker, the agenda, details on our partnership with Modesto Visitors Bureau and restaurants that are going to be giving discounts to conference attendees,” Wolfe explained.
