#1 Clean. When preparing party food, wash hands and surfaces often.
#2 Separate. Use separate plates when handling raw and cooked foods for grilling.
#3 Cook. Always be sure to cook foods to their designated temperature that’s safe to eat. A meat thermometer will be needed.
#4 Chill. Never leave food out at room temperature for longer than two hours.
